It's The Andovers Hottest Bachelor Contest - launched in the January edition of The Andovers magazine.
Having made our call for nominations for the hottest bachelors living or working in The Andovers, we received dozens of suggestions - from moms looking to unload their sons, to girlfriends looking for validation, to employees giving props to their boss.
Since publishing the nominees we have been swamped with votes. And now you have a chance to meet the bachelors at the Girl's Night Out Hottest Bachelor Celebration on Thursday, Feb. 26, at 8 p.m. at Glory Restaurant, 19 Essex St., Andover. The evening will include a fashion show, prizes and plenty of surprises.
Don't let your voice go unheard. Make your Hottest Bachelor preference known and see if he came out on top in the May 1 edition of The Andovers.
Here's your chance to decide for yourself. Voting closes March 1. To vote, mail in an official ballot from The Andovers magazine, or e-mail rford@theandoversmagazine.com.

Why he's hot: "Clooney, Redford, Newman - what do they bring to mind? Rugged good looks, a chiseled jaw, a swagger and a wink.
"This small town has its own all-American heartthrob. Todd Berberian, owner of Andover Eye Care, is Andover's newest bachelor. He's an old soul who still believes in a handshake deal, opening the car door for a date, and picking up the tab.
"Good to note that he promises never to leave his Andover roots ... He recently purchased his first home in the Elm Street area downtown."
Nominated by: Friend and customer Lou Piazza.

Why he's hot: "Doug is the kind of man you would want your daughter to marry. He's like the pied piper at the YMCA; all the kids run up to him 'Coach Doug, Coach Doug ... I scored a basket ...' Parents love him, too. He truly epitomizes what the YMCA stands for: caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
"Doug is a gentleman. He is very kind. He's always smiling - with a cute dimpled face."
Nominated by: Co-worker Elizabeth Covino

Why he's hot: "When I saw the contest for The Andovers Hottest Bachelor, I knew that I had to nominate my brother-in-law Stephen F. D'Urso III, aka 'Chico' and 'Cheek.' Stephen, a lifelong resident of Andover, was captain of the 1987 Golden Warriors Football team and graduated from UMass. He can be found during the summer on the links at Andover Country Club, where he is a member and also resides. During the winter, you could spot Stephen at the finest establishments in Del Ray Beach, Las Vegas, Miami, the Bahamas, or other hot spots.
"In addition to golfing, traveling and living a VIP lifestyle, Stephen is the first one to support a cause. He is involved in the Melmark Foundation, Ironstone Farms, as well as St. Jude. Wherever I go in town, people ask me if I am related to Stephen. Stephen should be selected as The Andover's Hottest Bachelor, not for his 6-foot-3-inch athletic build, movie star looks, great dancing skills or charisma, but because he is the entire package. He's also the best uncle to his six nieces and nephews, because he truly is a kid a heart."
Nominated by: Sister-in-Law Johnna D'Urso

Why he's hot: "As a long-time friend, I feel that Paul Schoonman should be voted the hottest bachelor of the Andovers for many reasons. First of all, he is a great guy. He is very kind, well-mannered, interesting and a lot of fun to be around. (He is nothing like so many of the jerky, self-centered good-looking men that you see so much of.) He is really into boating, skiing, SCUBA diving, music and loves to try new cuisine.
"Second, he is very good looking and in great physical shape. Thirdly (and certainly not least), he is a wonderful father to his 11-year-old son.
"Fourth, he is outstanding at his profession, having won numerous "best of" awards throughout his career as a chiropractor, and never having the need to advertise, due to his legions of happy and healthy patients.
"Fifth, he is very committed to the Andovers, having practiced in North Andover and Andover for over 15 years."
Nominated by: Friend Sorena Pansovoy

Why he's hot: "My brother should be the hottest bachelor because he is very attractive and has the personality to go along with it. He is very entertaining and sociable, which makes him successful in his field of work, real estate.
"He is an amazing older brother and has always been here for me. I would like to nominate him to give thanks. I feel that he deserves some type of recognition for his accomplishments in life."
Nominated by: Sister Mallary Forzese

Why he's hot: "Jamey is a personal trainer at Yang's Fitness Center in Andover. His assets are his charm, sense of humor and intelligence. "He has set high goals for himself and achieved them. As a personal trainer, he helps others achieve their goals. And, he's pretty cute, too."
Nominated by: Friend Grace DeFeo
